Lodging

HOTEL ROOM BLOCK: Call Green Lake Conference Center at (920) 294-3323 directly to book your hotel rooms. Singles, doubles, triples, and larger houses available upon request. To receive the special rate of $104/night (includes all taxes!) you must mention SCBWI or Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and register your name and the name of your guest(s). Our room block will be held until July 20th, so we recommend you book early. Our block mostly consists of rooms in Bauer Lodge and Kern Lodge.

 

Meals

Conference registration includes all meals Saturday and breakfast on Sunday, a drink ticket, and both socials. Friday Intensive participants will also have Friday night dinner included. If you’re not doing the intensive but would like to eat at GLCC on Friday night, you can add on your meal to your lodging by calling (920) 294-3323. If GLCC knows at least 2 weeks in advance you will be eating a meal there, the cost will be the following: Ages 12+ $10 Breakfast (B), $12 Lunch (L) and $14 Dinner (D); Ages 5 -11$7.25 (B), $8.25 (L) and $9.50 (D). Standard pricing after that date is Ages 12+ $12 (B), $14 (L) and $16 (D); Ages 5-11 $8.25 (B), $10.25 (L), $11.50 (D)

 

Cancellation
Cancellation must be before August 20th.
  • All cancellations incur a $20 processing fee. 
  • Only registration and intensive fees may be refunded. 
  • No refunds will be granted for manuscript critiques or portfolio reviews. 
  • Registrant must contact Andrea Skyberg or Rochelle Groskreutzl at wisconsin-ra@scbwi.org to request refund.
  • Contact the Green Lake Conference Center for any lodging refunds. The conference is separate and we are unable to process lodging refunds.

 

Blogging and Recording Policy
Audio taping, videotaping, and/or transmitting any part of this conference is prohibited. The presentations and handouts are copyrighted and may not be reprinted, blogged, tweeted, or reproduced in any way without written permission of the copyright holder. You may share your thoughts about the conference and some brief quotes, but please respect our speakers and the copyright law by not giving away detailed notes. Thank you for your professionalism.
